You only pay when a ticket is actually resolved.↖
A ticket counts as resolved in exactly three cases:
- The agent handled it end to end: read the message, checked your policy, took the action, replied.
- It came to you and you approved or denied it in one click, and the agent carried out your decision.
- It finished a return and left you one step: the agent verified the order, created the return, and told the customer. You just send the return label from Shopify.
Nothing else is billable. Not spam, not a ticket the agent escalated for your team to handle, not a conversation still going back and forth. And a ticket is charged once, however many messages it takes.

Questions about pricing
What counts as a ticket?
One customer conversation, handled start to finish, however many messages it takes. A customer who writes in about a late order, replies twice, and gets a refund is one ticket, not four. The same ticket is never billed twice.
What if the agent can't resolve something?
If it comes to you and you approve or decline in one click, that counts as resolved and is billed once. If the agent simply couldn't finish and handed you a conversation to take over yourself, that is not billable. You are paying for outcomes, not attempts.
Do I get charged for spam?
No. Blocked spam and attack traffic are never charged. There is also a cap of five billable tickets per customer in any rolling 30 days, so one person cannot run up your bill.
What if a customer says it wasn't actually resolved?
If the customer replies within 72 hours saying it wasn't resolved, the charge is voided automatically. You don't have to notice it or ask.
What happens if I go over my plan's tickets?
Extra tickets bill at your plan's overage rate: $1.75 on Starter, $1.50 on Growth, $1.00 on Scale. Nothing stops working and no ticket goes unanswered. The rate drops as your plan grows, so a busy month on a bigger plan costs less per ticket, not more.
Is there a free plan, and is it actually usable?
Yes. Ten tickets a month, no card, and it is the real product: the full policy engine, refunds, returns, order edits and cancellations, on email and storefront chat. It is not a demo mode. What the paid plans add is volume, helpdesk sync, multilingual replies, and the dashboard.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Change or cancel any time from your Shopify admin, and billing goes through Shopify like any other app subscription. No contract, no sales call, no cancellation process to sit through. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day trial.
How does this compare to other AI support tools?
Most of the category bills a monthly platform fee plus a separate per-resolution charge, which makes the headline price and the real price different numbers. Resolvas folds both into one plan fee. We wrote up the full comparison, including where competitors are the better choice, on the Gorgias alternatives page.
